Large shopping malls are replacing small shops. What is your opinion on this change? Good or bad. Support your point of view with reasons and examples from your/own experience.
In many countries around the world, large shopping malls have been replacing small individual shops. In my opinion, this is an inevitable change and it will bring numerous benefits to societies and communities. Therefore, I believe that this change should be promoted and accepted with open arms because it will allow communities’ landscapes to be improved and also allow us to spend our time more efficiently.
Large shopping malls essentially consist of numerous shops compiled into one big building. Using this approach rather than building multiple shops can help improve a communities’ landscape as the space saved from building smaller shops may be used for something better, such as building a park or lake. These public infrastructures not only improve the community’s landscape but may also increase land value.
Secondly, building a large shopping mall also allows us to complete all our errands by just visiting one place. Instead of making numerous trips to purchase our essentials, we are able to spend our time efficiently and obtain all our needs in the respective shopping mall.
In conclusion, based on the aforementioned points, I believe that replacing smaller shops with large shopping malls is the right approach as we head into the future. Apart from just benefitting us consumers, it may also help improve the environment by reducing the number of car trips made from place to place.
