 PTE写作常见语法错误

PTE考试写作部分的Write Essay相对于雅思考试来说的确较为简单，但是也绝不是随便乱写就能拿到不错的分数的。很多同学PTE写作分数一直不理想，到底是为什么呢？ PTE写作常见语法错误 ：你可能要看看你的PTE语法Grammar分数是不是比较低咯！

1.不成句

即句子成分不完整，不能构成一个完整的句子。

这类PTE语法错误常出现在套模板或者语言基础不太好的同学身上，这在PTE考试中绝对是大扣分，因为写作对于语篇是有要求的。我们来看一个例子：

Tests of the Shroud of Turin have produced some curious findings. For example, the pollen of forty-eight plants native to Europe and the Middle East.

你能看出来这个PTE写作句子哪里有问题吗？如果不能，说明你自己可能一直都在犯同样的错误但是并没有意识到！

这段话的第二句就是一个不完整、不成句的句子, For example之后没有谓语，构不成一个完整的句子。

正确的句子应该是：

Tests of the Shroud of Turin have produced some curious findings. For example, the cloth contains the pollen of forty-eight plants native to Europe and the Middle East.

Or

Tests of the Shroud of Turin have produced some curious findings, for example, the pollen of forty-eight plants native to Europe and the Middle East.

2.句子过于复杂

句子包含过多从句或并列成分，造成句子过度复杂。

如果你PTE写作语法上没有错误，那么应该是不会被扣分的，但是很多同学写太复杂的句子就容易犯错误，这样扣分反而得不偿失。因为过于复杂的句子不会给你加分，但是犯错就会扣分。那么还不如用稍微简单、但是保证正确的PTE句型不是吗？

来看一个例子吧：

The hearing was planned for Monday, December 2, but not all of the witnesses could be available, so it was rescheduled for the following Friday, and then all the witnesses could attend.

这个句子语法上完全没问题，但是一下并列了四个成分，的确有些复杂，而且含义十分不清晰。一不小心犯错，那扣分就是妥妥的了……

写成这样，肯定会更简练、更保险一些：

The hearing, which had been planned for Monday, December 2, was rescheduled for the following Friday so that all witnesses would be able to attend.

3.错误的并列结构

在使用并列结构时非常容易发生这样的错误，看看下面这个例子：

The candidate’s goals include winning the election, a national health program, and the educational system.

这句话后面三个成分并列，但是含义就变成了winning a national health program, winning the educational system. 很显然意思是错的。这就是犯了错误并列结构的错了！

正确的应该怎么写呢？

The candidate’s goals include winning the election, enacting a national health program, and improving the educational system.

Winning, enacting, improving并列，这样才是正确的！

4.指代不明

使用代词时指代不明确，造成歧义。

这也是很多同学容易犯的一个错误，我们从一个例子来说明：

Because Mike is less interested in the environment than in economic development, he sometimes neglects it.

这里的it到底指代的是environment 还是economic development？完全不明确，很容易造成歧义。那么到底怎样才算指代明确呢？

Because of their interest in economic development, Mike sometimes neglects the environment.

改成这样既不会造成歧义，指代也更加明确。

5.乱用逗号

用逗号衔接两个独立的句子或该使用逗号的时候没有使用。

逗号的用法很多同学都懵懵懂懂不太清楚，偶尔该用的时候不用，不该用的时候反而用。PTE考试作为一个机器改卷的考试，标点符号用错肯定是一抓一个准。我们来看看这些常见的错误吧！

In 1952 Japan’s gross national product was one third that of France, by the late 1970s it was larger than the GNPs of France and Britain combined.

这句话前后两句明明各是一个独立的句子，成分完整且含义完整，而且后面一句之前也没有用任何衔接词（and, or, but, for, nor, so, yet）。所以中间应该是句号，而不是逗号。

Diseased coronary arteries are often surgically bypassed, however half of all bypass grafts fail within ten years.

However, hence, thus etc. 等转折PTE词汇后面，一定要有一个逗号！这里不用逗号，就是错误的。

正确示范：

Diseased coronary arteries are often surgically bypassed; however, half of all bypass grafts fail within ten years.

Or

Diseased coronary arteries are often surgically bypassed, but half of all bypass grafts fail within ten years.
